No. It plays songs from the directory "sd_file".

The arduino looks for ID3 TAGS which only audio file have.

What are the pros and cons of using this method?

Using the bouncing function you code will have to wait for the button response. Which will increase the time response of the program. But in the other side the button will have more precision when pressed.
