R = 105 ohms


b)

R is the minimum resistance. If we decrease the resistance, the current increases. Then LED can blow up.


3 a )

It doesn’t matter.  As long as this is a closed loop, it will be working. The main thing is potential differential at the poles of the battery.


4 a )

(9-1.85) = 0.03 * Rmin

Rmin = 283.2 ohms
